Pilar is a six-toed Abyssinian cat, whose forebears lived with Ernest Hemingway at his house in Key West. When she and her owner, Ryan, move up north, they both have a hard time getting accustomed to the cold weather—until Ryan starts to get pointers from his lovely coworker, Lisa.
In true feline fashion, Pilar can’t resist sticking her six-toed paw into the budding romance between Ryan and Lisa—with charming, and sometimes surprising, results, in the first two stories in this collection.
In “The Temple of Lights,” efficiency expert Robert Lehmann discovers just how much havoc a woman can bring to his life, while the funny-naïve heroine of “You’re Pretty When You Smile, Ima Jean” goes out in search of her life and finds something she wasn’t looking for. And in the final story, “The Cat Who Ran Away,” the sleek, regal Rajah leads Susan to figure out that perhaps you really can go home again.
Men and women meet, fall in love and stumble over obstacles in the five charming stories included here from award-winning romance author Neil S. Plakcy , but the ending is always a happy one.

I got this book because I have enjoyed Neil Plakcy's other books. This short book is a colleciton of short stories, 3 of which feature cats (but not talking cats or anything sickly sweet!). All the stories are extremely well crafted. They move along well, but made me stop and think from time to time...and re-reading them, I get more out of each of the stories. Plakcy is veyr subtle in some of his character development (he has both male and femal main characters) and this makes a very good read, asnd even a re-read. And for me, that's high praise...I seldom re-read anything.Go for it.

The Cat Who Got Married and Other Purrfectly Romantic Stories edition by Neil S Plakcy Crafts Hobbies Home eBooks Reviews
good cat stories and one dog story. why do i have to add 13 more words? i've said all i need.
I really enjoyed these short stories. They don't all have cats but they do all have a HEA. Enjoy. Worth the price.
I really enjoyed this book. The stories are very neat. I have a cat and I enjoy reading stories with cats in them.
When the cat ran away, and his owner kept to his schedule, this didn't ring true for me. When you can't find your pet, your
life is disrupted.
The short stories were interesting and made me smile. I love reading Neil Plakcy's books over the years and this another title to add to the growing list.
I'm not much for romance stories but I enjoyed the stories. Some more than others.
I really enjoyed this book and all the human and cat characters. I will look up the author to see if he has more books!! Happy reading!
